It would be interesting to see whether there are not 2 files installed on Windows: one being LiveCode itself and the other the updater, or
they are somehow all rolled in together.

This is a snapshot of the contents of the LC 9.5.0 app package on Macintosh.
Better start looking for something called something like 'autoupdater.exe' . . .
On Macintosh if one removes the autoupdater and the installer components, LC 9.5.0 still works.
