Conversion from MS Powerpoint

Forgive the silly (newbie) question but...............

I am bowled over by the power and flexibility of Revolution products. A friend of mine suggested I study them to see if I should convert to Rev for my industry presentations.

My problem is that I have a large number of MS Powerpoint presentations containing graphics and animations (they are nearly all graphic - no bullet points !).

:?: Can anyone suggest a method I might convert these to RevMedia format/cards so that I can begin to elaborate on them with RevMedia's features? (I have looked at Powerpoints export to html facility but it destroys resolution and animations).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.... thanks :)

Hi Iluvatar ,

It is simple to export the graphics and get them into RunRev. The animations might be a little more difficult, you might need to script them in RunRev.

If you want to do this automatically, you might be able to find a tool that exports PowerPoint files to XML and write a long, long script to create a RunRev stack from the XML file. I know that it is possible to use Apple's Keynote to convert a PowerPoint stack to XML, which is more or less understandable and could be used to create a RunRev stack. It will be a time consuming job though.

Best,

Mark
