Re: SoCal Rev User Group meeting: Thursday, August 19th
It was a lot of fun. My presentation on Rev in Linux seemed to go okay, but more interesting was Mark Stuart showing off his nifty Mailing List Reader app, which he and I will be making available through RevNet soon. Really nice work he's done on that. Mark also touched on the nature of making UI widgets in general, which we may be covering at the next meeting this coming Thursday, or in October is time runs short.
The rest of the lineup for this September meeting looks like a good time:
- Bill Vlahos will discuss the making and marketing of his InfoWallet product
- We'll have a roundtable discussion on the new LiveCode announcement from RunRev
We're meeting on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 7PM at the offices of MyShape in Glendale. Early birds can meet at Porto's restaurant across the street to share a meal before the meeting at 6PM.
If you're interested in attending, sign up for the SoCalRev group at Yahoo for directions to the meeting location:

Hope to see you there -

Sounds like fun. I have a meeting conflict though with another meeting this Thursday but so far I haven't head anything so I just may be free to attend.
I went the Yahoo Groups but I still didn't see any directions or an address listed.

The directions had been buried in a post in the Messages section. This morning I edited the front page to include meeting details there.
