Spider Hunt: 3D Raycasting Demo

Post by smpcs » Mon Feb 17, 2014 2:13 pm

I have been learning about 3D raycasting and finding out what is possible using 100% LiveCode code, i.e. no externals.

Spider Hunt is my first demo, where you in a small building infested with overgrown spiders. Your goal is to kill all the spiders with a can of bug spray and to find the exit point. The world map is tiny and the program has glitches, but it works.

You can download standalone demos for Linux, OS X and Windows here:

Feedback on this forum, and at http://livecodegamedeveloper.com/ or http://livecodegamedev.net/ is welcome. (Note, it may be listed in the New area of LiveCodeGAMEDev.net, if it still has no upvotes.)

Scott.

Nice one, will you make the code available?

If ya take a peek into the .PDF sample it says that you will have access to the raycasting demo stack. :P
Unlike the other games in this book, Spider Hunt is not in the public domain and is only available to owners
of this book. See the Where To Get The Code chapter at the end for your unique download code for this
interesting and innovative LiveCode stack
