I have seen the speak command don't work on Linux
Is there a way to use vocal synthesis in Linux ?

I think you mean text-to-speech. Try eSpeak or Praat.

OSX (8 Mo) ok for leopard and Snowleopard, text to speech problem with Lion

Hi jean-Marc,
Yes, you call those programmes from the shell. You can install them completely with your own software (if the license allows that) or require the user to install them by themselves before using your software.
