I'm new to anything Linux. I have a new Ubuntu installation that I would like to try my copy of LiveCode on. I can't figure out how to install it though.
I have unzipped the installer and tried clicking it, double clicking it, and navigating to it from the terminal, but it doesn't seem to do anything, no matter what I try. What is the trick to installing on Ubuntu (newest LTS)?

Re: 4.5 Install in Ubuntu
Here when I unzip the archive on Ubuntu it runs fine, but I have seen cases in the past where you need to set the executable bit of the installer app to run it.

Re: 4.5 Install in Ubuntu
I tried it the same way four times. Then I emailed support. Then tried it a fifth time and it worked. I guess sometimes just the threat of telling "mom" does the trick.
