RevBrowser functions in Linux

Post by kresten » Fri Feb 26, 2010 4:11 pm

I finally reached the point where I should release a linux standalone for "Phenomenalog" and then find, that the integrated browser-functions, working nicely in mac and windows, are not supported by enterprise 4.0.0 for Linux. Is there any way to get around this barrier ? It is really essential for me, having developped this prototype for 14 years. www.phenomenalog.dk and www.phenomenalog.wikispaces.com .

P.S. I also find problem of scroll bars not being able to show value in linux, while same scripts do the job both in mac and windows. An explanation?

Oddly enough I couldn't find a request for this in the RQCC so I just added one:

Thanks for swift replies
."...could create your own..." :I am in no way professional, wouldnt know, how such should be done, and would probably mess arounds for weeks, even if I got an explanation. Is it possible, that someone could construct such a tool, and make it available on the net. Others might also appreciate this, to meet such needs until a new rev-version is marketed. I dont know whar rev-media is, but if it is linux compatible one should think there could be found elements?

The question concerning the missing show-value on scroll-sliders was not answered.

still hoping Kresten

Kresten, what does your script look like that governs your slider values?

On Ubuntu 9.10 running Rev 4.0gm2 I see values when I turn on the sb's showValue property.

Which Linux distro and window manager are you using?

Thank you for replying.
I am sorry to have troubled you with this,- the problem disappeared when I manipulated the width of the sliders. When too narrow, they dont show values, when too broad, they dont show values. The imported win version didnt show values, but changing their width managed the problem.
I have further problems but will post the as new suject(s)
best regards
Kresten
