White screen after start of LiveCode on Ubuntu 16.04

Post by DeepThought » Sun Oct 29, 2017 8:32 am

After start of LiveCode on Ubuntu 16.04 I have a complete white screen on my laptop display.

My workaround:
- Navigate with [Alt}+[Tab] to the LiveCode window
- Select from the menue: Edit->Preferences
- Once more the white screen is shown on the display of the laptop
- Navigate with [Alt}+[Tab] to the LiveCode (Preferences) window
- Press the Button "Reset All Preferences to Defaults" at the below left corner of the "Preferences" window
- The white screen disappears

Is there anyone who have a better solution ?

Sounds like the backdrop issue posted about here.

Yes, thanks.
That's it: "..go to the 'view' menu, then uncheck the backdrop"

Your very welcome :)

It is an even longer discussion in the use list, hopefully it gets worked out.
