Internal error (couldn't extract payload item to file) 14,04
I am trying to install any 64bit version of livecode on ubuntu 14.04 and i get the error in the tittle. Of course i marked it as exe and also i tried installing it from terminal with sudo. Also i tried installing it just for one user. Nothing works. The installation starts and it stops after a while with that error msg. Any help?

I run Ubuntu 14.04 on a laptop and desktop, mostly LiveCode v9 but some earlier versions as well. Which LC version are you using?

Are you on an Ubuntu native machine or on a VM? If I remember correctly, I got that error on my Ubuntu VM when I had run out of free space, so there was not enough free space for LiveCode to be installed.

Its a fresh installation on a new partition 30gb. I have 25 gig free. I wanted to install 7.1.4 and i tried anything stable between 7 to 8. They all give me this error. On the windows partition livecode installed fine.

Ok i found the solution. I never checked the installation folder. Livecode installs correctly despite giving me the error. So there is no problem. Everything runs fine.Thank you for your replies.
