LiveCode 8.0.0 for Linux 32 bit version?

Post by SparkOut » Sun Jun 14, 2015 11:00 pm

There's a Community Server edition of LiveCode 8.0.0-DP1 and DP2 on Linux for download for both 32 bit and 64 bit flavours, but only 64 bit for Community Edition. Will there be a 32 bit edition?

@SparkOut: Eventually - yes. We're still having problems getting CEF browser compiling and working for 32-bit linux (we need to do the build ourselves as we've had to tweak it slightly to make sure it works). The 8.0 IDE uses CEF browser in various places, so we didn't think in worthwhile putting out a 32-bit build when some of the IDE wouldn't work.

Thanks Mark, I can wait. I wanted to make sure that my old netbooks would still be useable with 8 in the end.
