32-bit visual ?

Post by olivierauverlot » Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:40 am

At work, I use Revolution 3.0 for Linux application programming. Users working on thin clients Wyse S50.

I need to deploy an application on our Linux servers. When I launch the application on a thin client, I get an error message :

----------------------------------------------------------------
Fatal error: No screen visual available
I need to be able to get a 32-bit visual for this screen but was unable to. Sorry.
----------------------------------------------------------------

The problem is that the Wyse S50 are limited to 24-bits. It is a hardware limitation.

I have absolutely no need to display 32-bit for my application.

How to solve this problem?

Best regards
Olivier

I found a solution. Just use the -s option to launch the program. :D
