[QUERY] QNX OR Blackberry

Post by Iluvatar » Sat Mar 30, 2013 4:11 am

Is there a port of LiveCode planned for QNX and / or Blackberry in the forseeable future?

It would be nice for us embedded folk ;-)

If they ever release the code, you can look at making your own engine for those platforms..

shaosean:

Forgive my ignorance here, but QNX is available as a free evaluation/non commerical licence. I didn't think one needed access to the source to port a language like LiveCode to the platform.

Maybe our good hosts can enlighten me ?

Shaosean means the source for livecode. Of which the 1st release of the "as it is" source code should be out around the 9th of April. http://blog.runrev.com/blog/bid/280136/ ... e-Progress

At which point anyone interested could start working on porting it to whatever platform they desire as long as the license policy is followed. (woot!)
