Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
Have I missed the big announcement or is LiveCode not yet ready to run in Mavericks?
Anyone running it successfully?

Great. I didn't want to upgrade and find I was locked out of LiveCode.Klaus wrote:No.gjtaylor99 wrote:Have I missed the big announcementIt is!gjtaylor99 wrote:... or is LiveCode not yet ready to run in Mavericks?Yes.gjtaylor99 wrote:Anyone running it successfully?

I think if RunRev would be THAT dumb, they'd be out of business before you can say "oops"gjtaylor99 wrote:I didn't want to upgrade and find I was locked out of LiveCode.

Re: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
I'm running it in VMware Player 6.0.1 on Ubuntustudio on a 64 bit machine.
I cannot get to to see shared folders set up in VMware yet; so will try downloading 6.1.2 and 6.50 dp2 straight from the horse's mouth.

Re: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
well, apart from the seriously boke-worthy download animation in Safari on 10.9 the downloads do seem to be happening: 6.1.2 & 6.5.0 dp2
dunno what the "Galactic Gauntlet" thing is inside the 6.5.0 folder; downloading it anyway.
I'm going for the "you only" install as have found out that other options are "a load of donkey droppings" on Linux, and as Mac is UNIX-based [bet they'd like us to forget that], I'm not
taking any chances.
Right . . . I've installed 6.1.2 without any obvious glitches,
6.5.0 dp2 installed smoothly.
They both opened without any obvious problems, and I couldn't help noticing that in 6.5.0 dp2 the revTools stack looked the way it should (i.e. like previous releases) rather than the grotty thing in 6.5.0 dp2 for Linux.
Re: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
"I'm going for the 'you only' install as have found out that other options are 'a load of donkey droppings' on Linux" is misleading. The install for all users option works just fine on many Linux systems. There are different reasons why it may be problematic on one or another user's particular system but it is not fundamentally broken under Linux, contrary to what that comment might imply to many readers.
