setting up wordpress into windows hosting

Hi

I have an windows hosting hosted on asphostportal. I have 2 questions:

1) Is that possible to set up wordpress in it? and second and important one is:
2) Is database really necessarry to set up wordpress?

setting up without database like blogengine is possible? Thanks..

Not to be rude, but I think their support department would be better at answering the question if WordPress can be installed and WordPress would probably be a better place to see if you can install without a database.. Or you can also do a web search and see if anyone has already answered those questions.. Good luck :)

1. Wordpress requires PHP and MySQL, both of which are available for Windows Server.
2. Wordpress includes MySQL among its requirements, used for storing content. Without a database where would content be stored?

One question for you: Can you kindly explain how this relates to LiveCode?

I have seen a very few web-based forums and CMS that store as flat files, no DB required..

True, but WordPress isn't one of them.
