I wonder what drugs this person was using:

Nutty fruitcakes who may have a kinky urge to try out LiveCode 8.1.2 for Windows
on ReactOS 0.5 (nightly build) will be happy to hear that that works.

OK, OK, more bonkers than a penguin at the equator.

ReactOS 4.10 and LiveCode 8.1.10 . . .

the ReactOS 4.10 covers everything and ctrl-M doesn't seem to bring the Message Box to the front.

The Windows key + M made the Backdrop vanish and the revMenubar stack appear & then the thing froze.

Restarted ReactOS 4.10 . . . "Automatically removing dirty bit" . . . Jessica Rabbit, perhaps?

Finally . . . on the 4th reboot of ReactOS . . . got the LC Backdrop out of the way.

Now the IDE crashes when one tries to open a stack.

Oddly enough, I can make a new stack.

Well, aside from being impressed react boots more often than not now, I believe it is still sub-beta in quality at this point, the list here would tend to back that up with things like (my favorite is #1  ) but not limited too -
ReactOs.org wrote:
  1. CORE-3859 - [PATCH] Netstat produces b*llshit Image
  2. CORE-3875 - fastfat: long file name vs. short file name
  3. CORE-5272 - Opera11/12 "new" installer: installation fails
  4. CORE-6581 - KDE apps won't start and give errors
  5. CORE-7645 - Installation of Visual basic 6 runtime from rapps is not succesful
  6. CORE-7743 - Many bugs related to USB
  7. CORE-8814 - Our new Explorer lacks support for sidebar panels
  8. CORE-8864 - explorer_new: Alt+F4 just closes explorer windows, instead of invoking shutdown dialog
  9. CORE-8915 - [eventvwr] messup on menu eventlog category listing
  10. CORE-9224 - Opening files from USB drive causes the debug log to be spammed
  11. CORE-9232 - Web installer of NET framework 3.5 fails to download files!
  12. CORE-9278 - Folders tree view in explorer is unimplemented
So really, it would be quite extraordinary to see almost anything actually run on React. Now, BeOS on the other hand...Image

Sometimes it truly does :D but I guess I'd rather have a haiku than a reaction at times...

I have a feeling that ReactOS has done what we've all been waiting for it to do for ages: gone bottom-up.

Certainly its webpage is defunct:

https://www.reactos.org/

I would be sadder if I knew it was not a Vladimir Putin pet project.

Although there are some odd contradictions as there was a new release only 2 days ago:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/reactos/

You might have jumped to an erroneous conclusion there heh. A 502 does *not* mean the owner has gone toes up
The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on the internet received an invalid response from another server.
I think I'd wait a bit before sticking the fork in 'er.

Indeed the web site is up and running, although the OS is at version 0.4.12 alpha (some two years after being at 0.4.10).
I stopped reading when I got to
Imagine running your favorite Windows applications
If I wanted an OS that almost worked I'd probably go with Micro$oft's version. :P

Hang on a minute: the ReactOS website doesn't offer you the chance to run your favourite
Windows application; it only offers you the chance to imagine running it. 8)

Admittedly my favourite Windows application is GIMP which runs on Macintosh and
Linux without the overhead. 8)

That is probably because you've never had the pleasure of listening to 3 Dead Trolls in a Baggie

And what was going on wasn't bashing so much as funnin, but, I'll certainly respect your feelings on the matter.
