Need LiveCode Developer

Post by DPinto » Thu Jan 31, 2013 9:58 pm

This is the first time I've posted on the forum.
I need a professional LiveCode developer with a proven track record to create a prototype of a Learn-to-type program that utilizes VoiceOver on the Mac side, and Narrator on the Windows side. My typing app is already available on the Windows side, so I have the basic code.
Problem is: I have a 6 week deadline (March 12), and I am totally new at LiveCode so there's no time for me to get up to speed, let alone learn about external interfacing.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David,
LiveCode has it's own reader, revSpeak no need for an external. It uses the same "machine" voice that is available for both OS.
Your job just got much easier.

I just posted an hour ago about needing a developer who knows how to use Narrator for speech, but I just learned from Richard Gaskin that RevTalk will do just fine speech. So here's my amended request:

I need a professional LiveCode developer with a proven track record to create a simple prototype of a Learn-to-type program for the blind that utilizes RevTalk to generate speech. Deadline is March 12th.

Not sure exactly of your specs but here is an example.
Actually don't even know if you own LC.

Thanks Simon. I'll take a look at your Typing Tutor example that uses RevTalk. I have the demo of LiveCode, and will be jumping into it tomorrow.

David,

I have worked in the AAC field for eighteen years now and I am just now branching out on my own. I would be happy to take on a project like this.
