Is On-Rev actually supported/logging in

Are you using LiveCode to create server scripts or CGIs?

Is On-Rev actually supported/logging in

Post by rbrucep » Tue Jul 01, 2014 2:18 pm

I created an On-Rev account last week. While I have things up and running, I cannot log in to the desktop On-Rev client, repeated attempts to join the On-Rev forum have failed (and the page generally loads with errors), and I have sent support requests every other day and received only one answer (to an initial query because my site was not accessible on the web--another sign that all may not be well).

While it's possible that everyone is on holiday or something is on fire, I'm deeply concerned. All of the On-Rev capabilities are of great value to me, and I'm loving what I can do... but making a huge investment in something that's about to crumble is unwise, and I can only find one other system (hostm) that supports Livecode server, and am not sure of its quality.

Does anyone know the status and likely future of On-Rev?

My apologies if this is a mis-directed post, and thank you!
Bruce

OK, I heard back from David Williams at RunRev.

Apparently, On-Rev client hasn't been supported for years, but is still included in the download. He's working to restore that functionality. He'd been trying to reply, but apparently his e-mails to me were bouncing...

Cheers
Bruce
