AppAble External & Livecode 4.6 (or later)

Post by andyh1234 » Thu Nov 03, 2011 6:11 pm

I wonder if anyone has any ideas on ho to fix a problem I have!

Im trying to use the AppAble external with Livecode, but it looks like it was originally written when Livecode was Runrev.

Its a windows external, so Ive installed the dll per the instructions, and checked Livecode has the same path set in the preferences.

Everything works as it should in the IDE, but when the app is compiled it fails.

Ive checked the externals / dlls are copied over to a subdirectory in the app folder called Externals, and they are specified in the standalone build settings, but it just looks like they are not being included or cannot be found when the exe runs.

Any ideas?

Andy

Just to update, the external works perfectly with runrev 4.0.0, but fails in 4.6.4 and 5.0

Any ideas???

One more update!

The developer of this external has just sent and update and this now works with the current version of Livecode (5), so all things are good!

If you want an external to be able to get your app into the Intel AppUp store, this is now a good solution.
