Installing MobGUI - Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit

Post by jtlespoosta » Fri Apr 12, 2013 11:32 am

I wanted to test the MobGuil plugin. However, I do not see the plugin in my Plugins list.
I downloaded the plugin: revMobGUI.livecode, __MACOSX folder, and within it the ._revMobGUI.livecode file.
I duly created the ~/my_livecode directory, and plugins folder in that directory.

Then I placed the downloaded plugins into the plugins folder.

I restarted LiveCode, but could not find the plugin. I tested various combinations of leaving parts of
the download out. Rebooted the machine.

Nothing works.

I have always been very pleased with RunRev products, and whenever I have got into some trouble,
it has been my fault. So what did I do wrong this time?

Thanks for your help!

Locked (password protected) plugins will not load in the community version. You need a commercial license to use commercial plugins.

OK, thanks very much for this information - I had not noticed this.
