revOpenDatabase KO in html5 standalone

Post by lowcostweb » Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:13 pm

Hi from France
I use to access OK my mysql remote on-rev databases from my Livecode apps (stack and PC or Android standalone app).
I have tried same db access from a Html5 LC community 8.00 RC1 generated standalone app, but revOpendatabase never returns (database, mysql, internet are validated in standalone options)
Is database access possible with html5 generated by 8.00?
I thank you for your kind help.
Regards from Jean-Marc

As of LC 8.0.0-rc1: NO.
Currently the only way to get input and output from a HTML5-standalone is the "Ask" dialog.

HTML5 deployment is still experimental. That's why I wouldn't call missing features as "bug".
But you SHOULD** set a (HTML5-)feature request:
LiveCode Quality Control Center (QCC).
Search there for "HTML5" to see all current requests/bug reports.
