AltSQLite bundle error

Post by brainois » Sat Jan 27, 2007 10:23 am

Hello,

I downloaded altSQLite for OSX and identify two problems once installed:
1. The Database Driver.txt file contains "dbsqliteMac3.bundle" while the bundle is named "dbsqlite3.bundle". This lead to an error when saving as standalone apllication saying the database driver could not be found.
2. When building a standalone application, I have the following error

Code: Select all

1	Windows, driver file not found: ""
How coudl i get the windows drivers? I looked in the folders where altsqlite is installed, but without success.

Regards

François

Hello Francois,
  • 1. You could change the "Database Driver.txt" file with any text-editor. (Saving afterwards as pure text of course  ). Remember to copy the file at four places for Mac OS X:
    "Externals/Databas Drivers/"
    "Runtime/Mac OS X/PowerPC-32/Externals/Database Drivers/"
    "Runtime/Mac OS X/Universal/Externals/Database Drivers/"
    "Runtime/Mac OS X/x86-32/Externals/Database Drivers/"
Remember also, that the file "dpsqlite.bundle" should be also in all of the folders.
  • 2. This could be a licenence issue and I don't want to annoy the great stuff at Runtime. So just one question: If there is a stack (the same for Mac OS X an Windos), which could automaticly download the externals: Where could the download URL be?
Hope, this helps. It is possible to use the Altuit externals (and they are really great!) - but they won't make it too easy to do so ...

Regards

Nils
