Using Google Maps Polyline API in LC

I found a stack posted by bangkok (?) that places markers on a Google Map. I have modified it slightly to conform to my specific needs, but there is still one additional step to go. Instead of markers, I would like to create a Polyline (ideally with an arrow at each segment's terminus - but not necessary). I have found Google's Simple Polyline API but I can't get it to function properly (integrating javascript and LC seems to be the issue) and feel it's correction may be further away than modifying the javascript (listed in the stack's Custom Property) in the enclosed stack. Any help would be appreciated - thanks.
