WiFi Timer system

Post by catalinanesia » Fri Feb 26, 2016 6:24 pm

Hello to all of you!
I am proud to present my small project to the great community of LiveCode and not only.
Currently I am working on a solution (hardware and software) to solve a "timing" problem in the manufacturing environment.
Yes, the software side is developed with LiveCode and yes I will need help from the community in achieving my goal.
Yes, the project is open source therefore everyone will have access to all the informations (code, schematics, drawings, documents, etc.)
The project has a dedicated page on Hackaday.io https://hackaday.io/project/9881-wifi-timer-system to facilitate the access to the information.

Short description:
- A) hand held device "stopwatch" using WiFi based on Xbee with 3 buttons (Start/Play/Stop); proof of concept hardware done
- B) software side on a workstation (Windows in my case) to do the magic, will read/listen the COM port (via Xbee attached) and when a button press trigger is identified will start a timer on a specific field.

Long description - working at (bear with me).

Best regards and many thanks!

Wow. Keep me in the loop.

I coach swimming. So, timing is very important to us.

I've also been working a bit with a firm in Australia that has a fantastic stop-watch solution. But, that is another story.

Please keep me informed.
