Flip Card Animation and Gif images
After visiting this site: https://vine.co/
I remember a thread posted in use-livecode
mailing list and decided to create and
post a demo stack.
Look at this stack that displays:
1) an animated gif inside a background group
with the Dynamic Layer property set.
Control the Dove position using the keyboard.
2) a 20 cards flip animation that plays
when you press the mouse button
inside the photo or stack background.
go stack url "https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/383 ... s.livecode"
Download the stack, follow the instructions to
1) play the card animation and
2) move the animated gif,
check the scripts and post the many ways in which
this demo could be improved.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Flip Card Animation and Gif images
After reading Scott Rossi's solution about a clogging of pending messages in the stack published before:
http://lists.runrev.com/pipermail/use-l ... 96894.html
I created a new version, where you could use sliders to control the speed and movement step of the animated gif:
go stack url "https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/383 ... 2.livecode"

Re: Flip Card Animation and Gif images
Hi Al,
I played your first version. Congratulation, it works fine. Thanks for sharing
I noticed I can change the speed and movement step of the animated gif with some mouseclick during animation. I haven't searched yet what happend.
I had a suggest for the control of the speed and movement step of the animated gif but you have done it before i finished this post
I tried to get your second version but I have got an "no such card" error.
Best regards
Jean-Marc

Hi Jean-Marc
Many Thanks for your kind words!
I just tested the link and works fine in this Linux computer.
Paste this link on the message box and press enter on the keyboard:
go stack url "https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/383 ... 2.livecode"

Re: Flip Card Animation and Gif images
Very cool!
Minor suggestion: It would be more realistic if the keyboard keys QAZ caused the animation to flip facing left and EDC caused it to flip to the right. This could apply to a flying or walking character.

Re: Flip Card Animation and Gif images
Great idea! but LiveCode could not flip horizontally Gif images.
We could do this after changing this Gif image for
a sequence of PNG images.
