Re: stack changes size when going to another card
Aurgh! How did that get there? I simply created a new stack and added three cards to it. End of story. Is it possible that my app stack could have somehow have contaminated the test stack? Certainly the behaviour only appears in the test stack once I open the app stack and then remains until quit. ...

Re: Where are the newbies?
re user base I think to increase LC`s visibility, and therefore its potential user base (& potentially income), is by `growing` new users by targeting education, especially schools. I think for children to have an app (albeit desktop) up and running in literally minutes, I think would ignite passio...

What happens if you turn off the opaque of the field, as SparkOut suggested a while back?

Re: Substack disappearance
That’s why I use GitHub even for simple projects… The storage method is less important in this case than the frequency. Whichever drive it's stored in, automation is useful. Here I use Nextcloud to keep critical folders both backed up and synced across my Mac, Win, and Linux machines. Its automatio...

Re: Announcing Xavvi, a Great Leap Forward for App Building
I understand why the priority is given to a browser based editor, but if given the choice I'm going to be using the application for the foreseeable future. Same. Multiplatform desktop apps is where LC shines the brightest, and almost nothing else comes even close. It may be a niche, but one they ca...

Re: LC domain for sale: livecodeworld.com
Thanks, Paul. I'd alluded to that earlier, and where I'll he promoting this domain if I don't find a taker in our community. Would like to keep it "in the family" if I can. Laudable goal, but the URL suggests active maintenance/updates/etc which I suspect few actually have the time to do; or those ...

Re: Run the same stack from two LC installs
The point is: can I put the main stack on a shared HD and run it, in the same time, from both Macs, updating, saving, etc? And, if yes, what should I be aware of? Can you tell us a bit about why you want to do this? Many helpful suggestions have been presented here, but once we learn more about you...

Re: Run the same stack from two LC installs
Machine A will not know about machine B's changes and vice versa. If machine A saves its changes, and then machine B saves its changes, machine A's changes will be lost. I think you got the point. Too bad. I guess that this thing, that would also allow multiple developers to work on the same projec...

Re: Parsing in diary
I think one should safely assume that any commercially available app one releasers will be shared/hacked/keygen'd if it's of any value to anyone - assuming the opposite is overly optimistic. So take that as a compliment I guess :) I've seen highly vertical software of no value at all to most people...

Re: Un-Menu
Well, Erm, Yes, but not very attractve. Mac menus are rendered by the OS, which here is both the problem (Apple's API change) and the solution (making it look like something the OS renders). LC is very good at making it easy to produce works that substantially conform to the design guidelines if th...

Re: Un-Menu
Yes, then he will need the substack acting as the MENUBAR (palette) as I dscribed earlier. I don't understand. If he wants the menu bar along the top of the window, why couldn't he just put the menu bar along the top of the window? That's the standard way Linux and Windows work, and he seems to wan...

I'm reading it the opposite, that he wants a menu bar across the top of the window on all three platforms.
