Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Well, If I don't use Google signing, I have download a google tool that will encrypt my Android keystone. Then i have to upload it back to google. My Mac won't accept the Google tool, because it is from an unidentified developer. So it looks like I have no choice, but to use the Google signing. David

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Jacque,
Releases signed by Google Play?
In the past, I have NOT had releases signed by Google Play.
In your opinion, is it time for me to let my releases be signed by Google Play?
Will it be more difficult to get apps approved, if they are not signed by Google?
Thank you,
David

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Klaus, Thank you for the link. I do have a Mac, but it was easy enough using the LC lesson and Mac terminal. As you have seen in my previous responses on this post, the appreciation I expressed to Jacque. I should also mention that you, dunbarx, richmond62, Panos have also have been invaluable in my...

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Jacque, I went to the login link. I clicked on Downloads on left side. I tried to download version 9.6.9 and several others, but got the following message: Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocume...

Re: Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it?
Jacque, You are so AWESOME!! Thank you for responding today on a Sunday afternoon!!! I made the new keystone and loaded it up to the Google Play store, but it has a red circle with exclamation point and warning: Your app currently targets API level 30 and must target at least API level 31 to ensure ...

Android App Bundle with a new key before you upload it? - Google Approved
I have uploaded files to Android many tines in years past, but it has been over 2 years since my last upload. I see that I have to upload an .aab instead of an .apk. So I tried to upload an .aab that was compiled with my Android .apk key that I have been using for years, but I got the message ... An...

Re: Android apk only generates the generic icon - Solved
In the spirit of total transparency, I believe the original problem was due to the test device that I was using had not been updated for over a year. I believe that it was after I updated it I was able to see the LC generated legacy icon. However, I am glad that things happened the way they did. It ...

Re: Android apk only generates the generic icon
Jacque, That link you posted is excellent! But, I guess I am an unusually slow student. I continue to get this error: There was an error while saving the standalone application could not link resources - error: /private/var/folders/vt/wfknl4rj6_8rz3h7nml5r0000gn/T/TemporaryItems/tmp...8/AndroidManif...

Re: Android apk only generates the generic icon
Jacque, You are the BEST! I totally agree with you "though it's hard to imagine how they (Apple) could make it more painful than it already was." Yes, Indy has choice for adaptive icons. I am using LC 9.6.6 on a MacBook Pro, macOS Big Sur, version 11.7.3 I down loaded Android Studio 2 days ago and g...

Re: Android apk only generates the generic icon
By the way,
After I failed at installing adaptive icon bundle, I reloaded the image location for the legacy icon, the app legacy icon then looked like it was suppose to.
Where can I find out how to install adaptive icon bundle using LC.
Thanks,
David

Re: Android apk doesn't have icon
Jacque, I have not sent any apps to Apple or google during the last two years and things sure have gotten much more complicated!! Concerning the google adaptive icon, I thought I could just go to a website and download it to my computer and then on my LC standalone, Android settings select the downl...
