On my mac it is not possible to start the Simulator. Hi Pip, do you work on a Mac? Did you already downloaded the MobGUI-Stack? If on Mac just copy "MobGUI.livecode" to /Users/"youruser"/Documents/My LiveCode/Plugins If the path ../My LiveCode/Plugins/ does not exist, create it.
