Try this handler on your settings button:
on mouseUp
visual effect dissolve slow
go next card -- or the card you need to transition to
end mouseUp
Note: Some visual effects (like curl) are only viewable in the Simulator or on a device.
Hope this helps.

Visual Effect: Curl
Thank you for including visual effects in the latest pre-alpha.
Can we ask for a page curl effect that is left to right, or right to left, in addition to the up/down options currently available?

Font Style not "sticking"
I have a label field set to Helvetica Neue 60 bold in my stack.
The iOS Simulator and device display this text as Helvetica Neue regular.
Am I missing something? Sorry...

Malte: Here is a link to the stack I'm creating to learn both rev and ae... "learn" may be too ambitious, but I'm trying. http://ctfinteractive.on-rev.com/projects/prototype_malte.zip The scripts are working great in Rev and Simulator, but are a bit jerky on the device. Any info you have would be ap...

Re: Timer not working on iPad
Bernd:
I will try a few combinations, too... I have several Rev versions on my system.
This project was done in 4.5 Build 1080, with RevMobile PreAlpha 4.0.0-pre-alpha-10.
Did we find a bug?
Sorry to bother you with this, but very thankful for the insights!

Re: RevMobile
Malte: First, I'm glad AE3 is working on my iPad... thanks for helping! I do have another question, though. Can you recommend a way to get better frame rates on the mobile device? For the interface I'm prototyping, the movement is a bit jerky. Any suggestions would be most welcome, as always. Thanks...

Re: Timer not working on iPad
Bernd: I just got repeatable results... 1) I copied your script from the forum to the clipboard 2) I pasted it into a card in a new stack 3) I then copied the script from the script editor to the clipboard 4) Then pasted it into TextWrangler It seems the strange characters (which happen at indents, ...

Re: Timer not working on iPad
Bernd: Thanks, again, for checking into this for me! I actually got the script from this forum: http://forums.runrev.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=376&p=1350&hilit=clock#p1350 I copied the code from this entry and pasted. I have TextWrangler, but didn't think to check for hidden characters. I just...

Re: Timer not working on iPad
Bernd: Thanks so much for checking this out for me. Unfortunately, copying and pasting your code again did not work on the iPad. I did manage to get it to work by completely rekeying the script. This is something I would not have done, if your post had not mentioned the ascii issue. I have no idea w...

Re: Timer not working on iPad
Bernd:
Thanks for the quick response.
If you don't mind looking, I have attached the stack.
I am using animationEngine 3 in the stack, and I can get it to work in the simulator, but not the actual device.
What am I missing?
Thanks for checking...

Timer not working on iPad
I have built a demo stack prototype and have included a timer which functions as a clock. The stack tests fine in the iPhone Simulator, but when deployed is frozen at the time the stack was last saved. Should this be working? Is this a supported feature in the Mobile prerelease? I read the revision ...

Re: RevMobile
Malte: I was able to get the button to fade on card 2. Thanks for your help! I want to try to simulate a page slide next using a swipe gesture. I don't think gestures are supported yet, but even a tap would suffice. Would I use aeMoveTo? I'm trying to get a pushLeft/pushRight type of visual effect, ...

Re: RevMobile
Malte: Sorry to hear about the HD... but thanks for the response. I did as you instructed, and my build works in LiveCode 4.5, but when viewed in the iPad simulator, no AE works. I used a simple build of 2 cards, a button on each. First card, button takes you to card 2. Second card, button should ae...
