Re: Mapping handler dependencies
I finally got a chance to try this. I pointed it at a mainstack with a pretty long script. The text report is 1.8 MB and it couldn't make a flowchart. I got a PNG that only said I'd exceeded the maximum text size. Do you know what the limit is? Oh, that sounds like a pretty long script indeed! :sho...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
New release: https://github.com/wheninspace/WIS_ScriptDepedencies/releases/latest v1.1.0 (18 Aug 2023) Enhancements: - A major overhaul of the stack selection feature. You can now save sets of stacks as ”projects” to easily switch between stack sets when running the analysis. - The flowchart setting...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
Great, I'm glad we could find the problem, so that the tool can work on Linux too! In upcoming versions, this will be taken care of, so it will work out of the box on all platforms (at least until we hit the next snag... :) ) I'm also doing an overhaul of the UI now, so that all settings for the flo...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
The presence of a browser widget in linux isn't a problem. It's only if you attempt to use it (change its properties etc). Is showing/hiding the browser widget or changing the size of it enough to cause a crash? If so, then that is probably the cause of the crashes you experience (as there's a hide...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
Was looking forward to this option, but the new version does an amazing job of crashing my linux desktop manager on loading the stack (even with messages suppressed) while version 1.0.5 doesn't do so until I actually try to display the flowchart. Hmm, could it be that on Linux a stack crashes if it...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
So, the latest version now has a workaround so that Windows users also can see the magic flowchart! https://github.com/wheninspace/WIS_ScriptDepedencies/releases/latest 1.0.6 (13 Aug 2023) - Enhancement: Flowchart can now be exported to HTML file and launched in external browser. This is currently t...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
A small thing, and I am infamous for having such small things, I find that if I modify the handlers in the small stack I made, unless I save twice, the stack is disabled in the answer file dialog that appears to select the stack of interest in section 1, "List of stacks that can be selected..." I'v...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
Fun stuff, but I have a question, likely the result of ignorance. I made a simple stack with a couple of handlers (mouseUp, mouseEnter, and a few others) in a button. But no matter what I do, when I try to make a flowchart, I can only get the mouseUp handler as the "root" of the resulting flowchart...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
Very nice tool and very well done, thank you Andreas. Having occasional issues with crashes - happens in the colorizeStackList handler (cannot find stack). Seems to only happen with some scriptOnly stacks, while other scriptOnly stacks and normal stacks seem fine, which is weird... I'll look into a...

Re: Mapping handler dependencies
That is out of this world. The flow-chart is unbelievable. Actually the rest of the stack is also. Bravo. Thank you, Bernd! :D I'm happy you like it! It is indeed rather mind-blowing! It's so fascinating to load stacks from different people (not just my own) and really SEE the various coding styles...

Re: Tips: LiveCode and AI Chatbots
I just tested the stack in Windows 10 now, and, disappointingly, the flowchart does not work there! I suppose it's the "import mermaid" line that the native Win browser doesn't process somehow... Can any Windows-savvy person find a solution? It works beautifully on Mac though... (If I had a pe...

Re: Tips: LiveCode and AI Chatbots
This is going to be super helpful. Looking forward to your update to the already fantastic ScriptDependencies tool. Also I think the making of this this would make a great Livecode blog post? Thanks, Andy! Sure, I suppose this could be of interest to some LC blog readers. Let's see if the mothershi...
