Re: Free LiveCode Trial?

That, above, was a totally nebulous message almost devoid of meaning.

There is no need of some sort of a 'trial' of Livecode now we have the Open Source variant.

The Open Source variant may be regard as, in some way, the 'trial' for the Commercial version.

Re: LC 6.1.1 rc 2 Community crashing on UbuntuStudio 13.04

I have made a stack with a single textField, then, when trying to set the text attributes via the prefs palette the whole IDE has crashed: did this 3 times running before posting the above.

Re: LiveCode will only launch Chrome, not Firefox

Tried a button with: on mouseUp launch url "http:www.runrev.com" end mouseUp and over here on UbuntuStudio 13.04 it loaded the URL in Chromium. So I uninstalled Chromium. The it launched the URL in Firefox. Obviously the default is Chrome/Chromium; but if either of those is not present it works with...

Re: Update: Solution for 'invisible' LC dock icon on some M

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I won't have a chance to test that out for about 2 weeks. At that point I will be able to see if it works on 2 PPC machines.

My Mum was born today, and she is not a spam-bot. But, then, maybe my grandparents got cold in December
and snuggled into bed together!

Re: japanese text on Windows XP

The really ODD thing is that either EPSON or Windows XP has rotated the Japanese characters anti-clockwise through 90 degrees.

Re: Bad experiences with LC & Linux

The funny thing is that my "main machine" runs UbuntuStudio 13.04 (at home), and I run within it Virtual Windows 7, Windows XP and Mac OS 10.6.7. In all cases LC 6.1 Community looks and behaves in exactly the same way. Now UbuntuStudio runs XFCE 4.12 . . . at work the machines have "GNOME Classic wi...

Re: IDE Editor Font in GNOME

That looks like a really horrible bitmapped font from about 1993.

I wonder if you change the IDE font to a TTF font if things might not sort themselves out???

You are being a fusspot.

I have LC Community 6.1 running on about 10 machines running all sorts of Debian derivatives without a singel problem.

If you want to try and sell your finished software you really should pay for the commercial version.
