Hi everyone This question came up yesterday in the Webinar, we will be looking at this topic more in the next lesson, Location Services, but in the meantime here is a code snippet. If you have a latitude and longitude, perhaps pulled from a database, you can use the following code which will launch ...

Webinar Session Questions 26/03/2014

Coding School Q: not a question, more of a request... would it be possible to get the lesson video on Monday instead of Tuesday; with my schedule, I don't have enough time to really play with what I learned in the lesson before coming to the Q&A session A: Hi Greg, I've email Neil and ask him to co...

Re: Triggering KeyPresses from buttons

Hi I think when handling the return key you will need to check for the "return on tab" property yourself. Something like on mouseUp if the autoTab of field "input" is true then select before field (the number of field "input" + 1) else put return into the selection end if end mouseUp I hope that hel...

Re: Triggering KeyPresses from buttons

Hi DavJans You might have explained this in the webinar, and I missed it, but if you can explain to us exactly what you are trying to achieve we might be able to come up with a better way of implementing it. Sending rawKeyDown messages from a button doesn't seem like the best way to implement someth...

MobGUI Versions

Hi everyone Due to the various versions of MobGUI that are available and the discrepancy between the version of MobGUI we use in the videos and the most up to date version this post is just to try and clear up some of the questions. The version of MobGUI that we use in the videos is 0.29, since we r...

Sending a message at a chosen time

Hi In last night's webinar we briefly discussed how to send a message at a particular time. To do this in the desktop you can use the send in time command but this takes a delay time rather than a specific time. To work out the number of seconds between "now" and when you want to send the message yo...

Re: Saving App State

Hi Mark The only thing I can think of here is that the problem is caused by the fact that you are using lines to separate each images. Images are binary data, not text, and could therefore have new line characters within their data. If you are saving image data the best option is to save each image ...

DataGrid sample with images

Hi I have uploaded the small sample stack from yesterday's webinar which show how to construct a filepath from a folder and a highlighted line in a datagrid and use it to set the filename of an image. This sample also has the show/hide behavior for having two different datagrids on one card. For mor...
