Re: Unicode problem in text field on Univesity stack

Hi penopia,

Is there any way you could post a screen shot of what you are seeing? This could help figure out what is going wrong.

Thanks,

Re: LCU Showing Offline

Hello, I got the $50 LCU. When I try to register it, it shows that I am offline and not able to download the course. Also I dont know how to tell which one of the LCU products is the paid one in my account. Hi Ryahn, If your internet connection is working, but LCU says you're offline, it is almost ...

Re: Lesson 4 stack with instructions problems.

enkerli,

Thanks for the post. That's actually a very useful clue that I can use to try to troubleshoot this. It's been a vexing problem because I've been unable to reproduce it here. Hopefully I'll have a solution soon.

Happy New Year!

Re: Lesson 4 stack with instructions problems.

Hi, I stopped studying for a while and decided to start the course again. So I've downloaded the new version 1.3.2, but when I got to lesson 4 activity I found some problems. When the stack is opened it downloads the pictures correctly, but then, the stack with the instructions is small and I can't...

Re: Lesson 4 stack with instructions problems.

Good sleuthing, jboon321. Although I can't imagine why that fixes the problem. I can't replicate the problem here.

Vinicius, did you try this workaround?

Re: LiveCode University software v123 is full of bugs. *FIXE

Farouk,

Have you tried downloading the newest version 1.3.2? That was one of the problems that should be fixed.

Re: LiveCode University software v123 is full of bugs.

I want to emphasize that the only way for reliable updating of LCU for all the people with slow internet connections is if you will provide a download link for an offline updater file so that the update downloads can be resumed when interrupted. Keram, I haven't implemented an offline uploader befo...

Re: LiveCode University software v123 is full of bugs.

Keram,
I'm looking into these problems today. Can you let me know what your platform OS and version are? Want to make sure that the problems are not just on one platform.

Re: Some lessons aren't marked as completed

Nicolas,
Sorry for the delay in replying; for some reason I stopped getting email notices for posts on this forum. I have seen others with this problem and am looking into it today. I'll make an announcement in the forum when I have a new version to release with fixes.

Re: LiveCode University software v123 is full of bugs.

Keram, I just now saw this. (I'm supposed to get automatic emails from posts to the forum, but they seem not to be working.) Very sorry about the problems. I will look into it ASAP. By any chance were you using an earlier version (1.1.x) of LCU then upgraded? That might cause some of these problems....

Re: Alias broken

Won't run at all. Keep getting alias errors. Even when I delete it, reboot, and download again. Very odd. Shawn, I've duplicated the alias problem. My main development machine is still 10.7.x, but I see the problem when I test it on a Mac with 10.8. So it appears that OS X 10.8.x breaks the alias t...

Okay, I'll check it out for the next release. I assume it works to just run it from whatever folder you copied it to?

Re: Alias broken

Shawn, Sorry for the trouble. It looks like you're using the Mac version and you're trying to use the drag to application folder in the installer. Can you tell me the version number of LCU and of OSX you're using? It appears that somehow in creating the installer the alias path to the Applications f...
