Re: Version 8.1.2 continually crashes
I am going to lose my mind. Yesterday, I spent several hours trying to figure out why version 8.1.2 crashed all the time with my livecode file. I posted the problem on the forum and left for several hours.... came back and the same file worked. (I hadn't closed anything - it just started to work). I...

Re: Version 8.1.2 continually crashes
"Do anything" means click a button. The app opens and resizes properly, but as soon as you click a button, it crashes. I found code to get the logs and put this script in the button that crashes (fyi - any button that goes to another card crashes. I haven't tested other buttons because it crashes al...

Re: Version 8.1.2 continually crashes
as I said above... my whole app depends on url(turl) calls... so if that isn't working, that could be the cause of the crashes...

Re: Version 8.1.2 continually crashes
So...I renamed the plugins folder and the same result. The app appears and then as soon as you click a button it crashes. Just for the record...the app worked yesterday. Where do you find the boot log? I also have a problem with the url(turl) not working again. When I tried it in 9.0, it came back "...

Version 8.1.2 continually crashes
I was hoping to use 8.1.2 to solve some of the bugs connected with the new releases...but it crashes as soon as I do anything. What's up?
Has this been submitted as a bug yet?

Re: Lockloc groups and changing rotation
I have spent a lot of time comparing scrollers and changing rotation. I would have thought that scrolling and rotating would have been debugged and simple to implement by now... but apparently not. I have about 20 in my stack and all work "sometimes".... 1) On Android, the scroller wouldn't work unt...

Re: Lockloc groups and changing rotation
I received code from Dave Kilroy that actually works. But I have not idea why it works. It seems counter intuitive. On the card script, he added some variables for iPhone on preopencard resizeStack end preopencard on resizestack dispatch "autopositionMe" to grp "mygroup" if isMobile() then createScr...

Re: Lockloc groups and changing rotation
Nobody likes my question... Probably because it has an answer that is obvious to everyone but me. I have attached the stack to see if anyone else gets the results I get - which is that it doesn't rotate properly to landscape.

Re: activating target button
so the solution was that I had not permanently installed LiveCode on the mac (I am new to Mac and tried to drag the application into the folder, rather than drag the application down into the image on the same button) Anyway. because of that, my LiveCode preference that I set yesterday, had disappea...

activating target button
Gnomes in the night Yesterday, I was testing LiveCode on the IOS simulator. Today it doesn't work. I opened Xcode first. I opened my Xcode project which showed that I had done the configurations correctly. I even opened the simulator. Then I opened LiveCode. The target was still greyed out and it wo...

Lockloc groups and changing rotation
I have grouped some buttons that are supposed to be 80% of the width of the device. In resizestack, I have this code: on resizeStack if the environment is "mobile" then mobileControlDelete "adminScroller" end if set the locklocation of group "group biz" to false layoutControls set the locklocation o...

Re: Version 8.1 url(turl) returning empty
ok...that's good...unfortunately, mergav/mergmicrophone don't work in the newer upgrades (at least that's what I've been told...) - which is why I upgraded.
