Re: App to Android Issue
Is there still issues using JDK 7? I'm now running LiveCode 6.0.2 on Windows 7. Is there a step by step tutorial anywhere on how to create a keystore file and then sign it - I've created an Android app which works just fine and I want to put it on Google Play I already have one App on google play bu...

Re: Multiple resolutions, resize stack a solution
Not sure if it worked 100% or not - I loaded up an old version of my App that I created before using your resizing script - added a button and ran the script and pasted the result as below. But when I resize the card the image resized perfectly but some of the buttons I drew on top didn't move corre...

Re: Ready to Publish my very first Free Android App
I am using LiveCode 6.0.1 Build 1513 - most of the time that looks normal but sometimes it just gets screwed up This is the same exact screen today but I don't see any mention of a Compass .. there must be some Hidden options in LiveCode that activate themselves under certain circumstances - I've su...

Re: How to generat a .keystore file?
I hope RunRev have a decent plan for fixing LiveCode's existing short-coming's before they try to do something totally different like add support for Windows Phones. By taking the project OpenSource they've opened the door to millions of potential future LiveCode users, but the trouble is most of us...

Ready to Publish my very first Free Android App
I've created my first ever LiveCode App that's looking good enough to actually publish But I'm stuck on the part where I need to sign the APK File - I've tried to look on the Lessons but the screenshots don't match the latest version of LiveCode from what I can tell. I'm also not sure if things have...

Re: Multiple resolutions, resize stack a solution
I've created an Android App with 5 Cards - do I have to go into every single card and cut and paste the output into a single stack as below? Is there a way to create a single button that you just create once and it goes through all cards and works out the data needed? Every single card in my applica...

Re: How to generat a .keystore file?
Are you saying that in June 2013 - using LiveCode 6 that if we want to sign oour app we need to use the command line?
Is there no automated, point and click way to do it in Windows 7?

Re: The chosen folder is not a valid Android SDK....
I had the same exact problem as everyone else - thankfully Google Indexes this forum and lead me to this thread - yay!! But yes I agree - I don't like this whole business of LiveCode using such out of date Frameworks and also don't like having to use external software to install the files it needs t...

RunRev Blog Updates & Communication
I looked at the RunRev blog and there's not been a single update in over 2 months. http://livecode.com/about/blog/ I'm new to Runrev & LiveCode and only found out about the company and the Product about 3 days after the Kickstarter project ended. When I found out about LiveCode I was very excited bu...

Speech to Text in LiveCode
Is speech to text currently possible using LiveCode and Android?
I know Text to Speech is possible (at least on a Desktop) but I want to be able to verbally talk into my microphone and have that data put into a string so I can play with it.
if so where can I find examples of how to do this

Re: Can RunRev peeps please have a look at the Speech to Tex
Has there been any progress on this for Android?
I want to create an App for Android that uses both text to Speech and Speech to Text
If it's possible - then is there a speech to text example that shows you how to take a spoken sentence and put that into a variable.

Re: Implementing AdMob
I see this post is almost 2 years old now ... and I was really shocked to see the word "AdMob" only got mentioned 5 times in this entire forum. What's the latest with including advertising in LiveCode Android and iOS Apps? Has the situation improved in the last 2 years? I'd like to do quite a few fr...

Ways to compare two or more strings
is there a way to compare two strings to see how many words they have in common
for example
a="apples pears oranges"
b="apples sultanas strawberries pears"
so they have 2 things in common
is there a command that will let you know how many things are in common or a simple way to work it out?
