Re: Still stuck with distribution
Hi Jacque. I followed your advice and bit the bullet to purchase the certificate from ksoftware. It was definitely not too hard to do... but I am still having the same issue. Please see the following video: https://www.loom.com/share/28f60a927db64a6a80a726f902f4b325 Since you have done this before, ...

Re: HTML5 and Databases
I apologize, FourthWorld, I can see that your feelings were hurt, and definitely no offense was intended. My comment echoed the reply I have myself received on this forum and have seen on this forum about LiveCode's approach to documentation. For example, I asked if there was documentation of which ...

Re: HTML5 and Databases
So, FourthWorld, your reply leaves me both hopeful and totally confused. (Remember this is the board for complete beginners!) I understood about 50% of what you wrote... There are many ways to work with data without exposing the full power of a DB scripting language to the open Internet. If direct D...

HTML5 and Databases
I read a post from 2013 that basically said that there was no way to connect HTML implementation to a database, but that this was a feature that was surely coming. But, I do not seem to see any documentation of this change actually having taken place. Has it? What exactly is the point of a website t...

Re: Vanished Test
Thank you for your ideas. Indeed you inspired me to go back to Android Studio, update (obsolete) packages. For whatever reason this solved the problem.

Vanished Test
So, a few months ago, I remember I went through a painful, but ultimately successful process to allow me to test Android apps on my Samsung A50. I left Android things for a few months, and came back to a project today. Suddenly, testing does not work. I decided to update Android Studio and redownloa...

Re: Still stuck with distribution
I guess I was hoping for a way that was free. While I agree the cheaper certificate is under $100, for hobby developers, it's also not all that cheap. And, I cannot tell if I need the cheaper certificate or the more expensive one. And I am afraid I'll pay the money and I still won't be able to figur...

Re: Still stuck with distribution
But has anyone ever successfully done this. Is there someone who could give me help in this process? I keep not being successful. Surely someone has done this process successfully... A video out there perhaps? A lesson?

Still stuck with distribution
I feel completely ridiculous, but this honestly, I am totally stuck. I cannot figure out how to distribute the Windows application I have built. Seriously, I have built a complete app and have customers. But, I cannot figure out how to send the app to them! I have tried packaging with an installer, ...

Deploying to the Windows App Store
So... my first app is ready for deployment. But, I am struggling to distribute it. I packaged it using an installer, and uploaded the installer to a website. But, when users try to download it, they get warning after warning that such files are highly dangerous, likely filled with viruses and possib...

Re: Printing Troubles -- Will they ever end???
So for humor value... here is how I am "solving" the problem so far. It turns out that the issue with the Hebrew is that it will rearrange the punctuation. A period at the end of the sentence is bizarrely inserted before the final word. Dashes are moved to one word before the end, etc.. I discovered...

Re: Printing Troubles -- Will they ever end???
I am happy to send a stack that demonstrates the problem... But... who is the team? And how do I send them something? :D Yes, I have tried both print card and print card into. Again, the problem is only with the standalone. It works fine in developer's mode I hear you. On the face of it, this should...

Re: Printing Troubles -- Will they ever end???
Dunbarx... Yes, I have tried both print card and print card into. Again, the problem is only with the standalone. It works fine in developer's mode. That's the annoying thing. It seems to me to either be a missing library. Or more likely, the pdf printer cannot handle the Hebrew. (since that is wher...

Re: Printing Troubles -- Will they ever end???
Hmmm.... I have a general policy of not downloading .exe files. Can you tell me what I will find behind this curtain? Is this the standalone? Does it work?

Re: Printing Troubles -- Will they ever end???
Man, this has turned Biblical quickly! Back to the issue on hand... Richmond62, can you take your simple stack and run it as a standalone? I would like to see if it is only me that is getting cursed using Hebrew. It is important that non-Hebrew text appear after the Hebrew text on the page (don't as...
