Re: MergAVCam for Android

Yeah, the only way I could immediately think of it is to possibly put some sort of a file in the media directory. But that would be risky. Your way is better.

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Quite alright! How do you confirm that the barcode app is installed? Is there an "exists" something?

Re: HTML5 Active Development?

Ahh... "bugs" v "features" :) .... you can't reproduce all the components in an app. Let me get things finalized maybe today or tomorrow and I'll push the final thing to the webserver and let you know.

Re: secureKeyExists( ) throws error in iOS sim

Yes, it just hangs on iOS too. I backed it out and went to using encrypt and decrypt with a variation on a PIN for the time being.

Re: HTML5 Active Development?

I can see tons of potential here. I need to write a few more "regular" apps and get comfortable with the platform. I'll also say that I was fairly impressed with what I saw. There were bugs but it wasn't unusable.

Re: MergAVCam for Android

Hi Peter.... this one "https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... d&hl=en_US" ???

I'll play around with it. So it's interface is just calling the sam MergAVCam stuff you call for iOS?

No, I haven't played with it yet but I will!!!

Thanks.

Re: secureKeyExists( ) throws error in iOS sim

I have "search for required..." checked instead of picking them manually. It appears to work on the iPhone itself. Just not the simulator.

secureKeyExists( ) throws error in iOS sim

I have something that starts out:

if secureKeyExists(theKey) then ....

When I run it on the simulator it throws an exception. Do I need to do something (like deploy it to a "real" iPhone) in order to get it to work?

MergAVCam for Android

Ok guys. What would it take to incentivize somebody doing an external for barcode/QR reading on Android devices? Or, alternatively, can Monte share the source he's already worked on for ZXing Android and I will build it this semester? Fair warning: I have never built an external for Livecode but I a...

HTML5 Active Development?

I am building a mobile app for my University (I'm now a professor, fired from my previous job in academic technology--proving that just because you get fired from a job at a University it doesn't necessarily mean you can stop doing your old job!). I decided to just play with HTML5 and after about 10...

Re: Push/Pop Card versus Goto Card

Yeah, I was worried about memory leaks if you started doing too many "go to" :) cards. So if I repeatedly "go to" a main menu, I'm not increasing app storage... that's what I'm trying to determine. I'm writing an app that will make repeated visits to the main menu so I'm trying to be socially respon...

Push/Pop Card versus Goto Card

Is there a reason to use Push and Pop versus just a bunch of Goto's when moving from card to card without worrying about memory leaks? In other words, if I have a Main card with a button that launches another card and a button on that card that launches another card (etc.) but then have a "Home" but...

Re: Invalid Launch Image and Missing Required Icon

Here's what I did. I basically zogged everything--all versions of Xcode and everything else Xcode'ish: sims, command line stuff, prefs, everything I could find. Then I installed Livecode 9.0.1 and did a fresh install of Xcode 9.2 and 9.4.1. I was able to get it to compile and upload for Testflight w...

Invalid Launch Image and Missing Required Icon

I am trying to build a rudimentary test of an app for testflight deployment just to see how it works. Try as I might, I can't get beyond the two errors (ITMS-90094 and ITMS-90022) after the app delivery. I added icons and splash screens for every size the app uses and the iPhone icon is 120x120 rend...

Re: Ipad text editor that "knows" LiveCode

"Like" ... Best editor I've used. Supposedly RunRev was exploring building a version of the IDE for the iPad at one point. Don't know where that stands though.
