Re: Creating LiveCode applications that play well with git

Error-CreateLevureApplication.jpg Trevor and Mikey, Thanks for the advice and pointers. I tried following the wiki instructions, by creating a new folder that I named "LevureFolderforLivecode" on my local drive. I moved my Livecode project stack there, along with a back up copy. I then launched Liv...

AllClear-Text2DiagramJPEG.jpg Matt, >> How does [Proquis AllClear] represent non-linear, non-hierarchical flowcharts in text? The video I found had someone building a "flowchart" that was just a fancy list....I'm curious how they addressed the complexity of a network structure using only document f...

Re: Platyvue Project

Matt, I came across today a system that (like Proquis Allclear) uses a quite simple script to create and nest flowcharts and mind maps. It's an online service called TextoGrafo, and a brief video on it is here – https://vimeo.com/194661680 Are there any useful aspects for Platyvue? Will next try to ...

Re: Creating LiveCode applications that play well with git

Trevor, I loved the clarity of the explanation of your videos on the Levure framework and SublimeText. The prospect of collaboration with version control on Github is exciting. I've downloaded SublimeText and look forward to going up the learning curve. For the legions of us who are new to Levure, c...

Re: A game to fill out "knowledge trees"

Al, Richard and all, I've just uploaded to Google Drive an updated stack for the Knowledge Tree/Learning Trails interface. Almost all of the UI elements now have popup hints indicating what they can do in the future. The stack is available to anyone via the following link: https://drive.google.com/f...

Re: A game to fill out "knowledge trees"

My updated UI stack on "Importing Knowledge Trees into Learning Trails" is >1 MB. I can't find a way to compress it enough to upload on the forum. Is there another option for sharing? Will be glad to share via email or any other means.

Re: A game to fill out "knowledge trees"

Many thanks to all for the insights and help! Al, agree on the value of filling out a prototype with resources that can help spread LiveCode skills. Attached is an update of the proposed interface. It shows how various knowledge trees on a given topic could be navigated. Double clicking on a tree co...

Re: A game to fill out "knowledge trees"

Al and all, Here's a stack that holds key questions that can be asked in a learning landscape on any topic. Hovering over buttons on the trail, in this version, reveals each of the questions. In a working version, I hope users will be able to put their responses into popup text fields as they find q...

Re: Circle-based fractal(ish) project.

Calmrr3, Just discovered your project on Vimeo to create fractal-like tree structures in Livecode. Would it be possible to share some of the scripting you used to generate this branching behavior? For the Learning Landscape prototype (summary posted in the LC Games area), I'd love to see a simple tr...

A game to fill out "knowledge trees"

Very glad to be back in Livecode Land! I'm working on an UI for an open source game for peer learners. The aim of the game will be to generate mind map-style "knowledge trees" on any topic of interest. As players enter a learning landscape, an avatar will ask players a small set of overview question...
