Re: SVG or EPS or PDF (vector) export?

Yes, that's correct.

I only did a quick test, but the PDF imported into Illustrator with all vectors intact, no sign of any bitmaps.

Re: SVG or EPS or PDF (vector) export?

SVG - No, EPS - Only on Linux I believe, but PDF works provided the vectors were created in LC. See "open printing to pdf" in the dictionary. AFAIK it isn't possible to convert a "paint" image to vectors in LC without a great deal of scripting, but I may be wrong! I'd be interested too if there is a...

Re: Create a toolbar

Mag, The default Menubar created by the Menu Builder has a Preferences item at the end of the Edit menu, see attachment. If you leave this in place (or add one to the end of an existing Edit Menu) and add your scripts to the MenuBar>Edit button the system will automatically move the Preferences menu...

Re: Resize beep

This isn't normal behaviour so I'd say something else is triggering the beep command, initially I would be looking into the stack and card scripts to see what it could be.

Using the Edit>Find palette to locate all "beep" commands should save you some time.

Re: Detecting "Select All" command in a field

I would like to update a field where I put the number of selected characters, to date I use this message "selectionChanged" which detects the user direct action on the field, but I need to know also when the the user select all, paste, undo and so on... Mag, if you add "Select All" to the Ed...

Re: Changing the angle of an image breaks zoom

I struggled with finding a suitable answer to this too, so I created a sample stack to show the workaround solution and posted it on RevOnline. The file uses snapshots as temp images to show the rotation as Sturgis suggests, it's not perfect, but the script is well commented, so should help anyone t...

Re: Help me name this external

Well for; merge + Choose, Cut, Copy, Paste then

mergCCCP fits!

But, my vote would go for arkstar's suggestion mergPop

Your mergAction also makes sense to me, the function names fit well and leave room for future updates, they are easy to remember and easy to type.

Re: svg file support

Richardmac, Go to the 'User Samples' in the LiveCode menu bar to launch revOnline, then do a search for SVGL. The description states… Interpreter for a simple vector graphics language with layers, blending and transformations. Also comes with an Import stack for SVG files …So hopefully that may help...

Thank you for the replies.

Thank you very much Tom for the code example, I really appreciate you taking the time to work that out, I'll certainly give it a go.

Re: Mac Spell Check?

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind for now, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to have a Thesaurus.

I was hoping to be able to access the built-in Mac Services.

Thanks again.

Mac Spell Check?

Hi, Although I've had RunRev/LiveCode for some time I've only just dabbled a little, but now I'm trying to create a small text processing app (mainly to use on a Mac) and it would be nice to be able to access the Mac Spell Check and Thesaurus in a similar way that most other apps do, ie. under the e...
