Re: Hints of Cocoa

Thanks Klaus and seconded. I am not bothered about any other colour, just want the emulation to match OSX. This is one of the advantages of using native controls. If Apple decide to change the look, you get it automatically. I did manage to correct the issue of black instead of white by Opening Xcod...

Re: Hints of Cocoa

I just typed "fribble the docknid" into Text Edit, no spell checking there, it's got to be one of the most "normal" applications on a Mac. I'm sorry but you are wrong here. Check the preferences in TextEdit. I started to type "how do i check color as I type" and it immediately underlined it then ch...

Re: Tab Button

These little inconveniences, not providing emulated controls that match those in the actual OS, will not be resolved by the Cocoa Port. Following the Cocoa Port the OSX interface will remain emulated. Using native controls is not part of the port. See this thread for more information. http://forums....

Re: Hints of Cocoa

Hi runrevmark, I am not a long time user of LiveCode but rather have tried it in the past but as a Mac development environment was disappointed with the emulated controls so at the time did not pursue it further. Recently with LC going open source and one of the Kickstarter goals being a Cocoa port ...

Re: Tab Button

But there is light at the horizon, LC version 6.7 will finally use Cocoa on OS X, which will hopefully remove all these current little inconveniences and the need of emulating native controls Will LC from version 6.7 use native Cocoa controls or will they still be emulated? On reading the stretch g...

Re: Window loses focus when printing as sheet

It might be LC interacting with 10.9.2. I have built a standalone app as I thought it might be the IDE but it still does it in the standalone. If I place open wd "myWindow" in the script that does resolve the issue because open wd clearly brings the parent window to the front in the pecking order. I...

Tab Button

When you have a tab button and you select a tab. The tab has a dark grey background with the text colour black. I know the LC interface is emulated and not native but could Runrev not emulate the Mac interface correctly. A highlighted tab on mac has white text NOT black. Screen Shot 2014-03-07 at 14...

Re: Alternating Row Colors of a Data Grid

Well, I seem to have found it in the Data Grid script. It seems to be located in this part of the script. private command _table.DrawWithProperties pSetVScrollTo, pForceRefresh ## We only scroll by entire records so if any scrolling is supposed to occur then ## start 1 higher if pSetVScrollTo > 0 th...

Re: Alternating Row Colors of a Data Grid

How important, I guess, is this static alternating color thingie? Well not essential but my concern with Data Grid is the smoothness or lack of when scrolling when compared to OSX native tables. The scrolling of the alternating colours does affect your concentration when scrolling through data to f...

Re: Alternating Row Colors of a Data Grid

and then overlay a group of properly sized, colored, blended buttons onto the DG that will stay put while you scroll. A kluge, but should work fine. I have experimented with this solution for a short while but with a blend it mixes with the underlying colour which in this case is firstly blue and t...
