Re: Number combinations

This is LiveCode at its best. The following script creates all 24-bit nums to base 2 in lines = 25*2^24-1 = 419,430,399 Bytes (419,4 MByte) and writes them to a text file in < 40 seconds (total) on a medium fast machine. on mouseUp put the millisecs into m1 set cursor to watch; lock messages; lock ...

Re: Here's how to drag-reorder lines in a list field

We all like it to see you making progress with your code. Sadly it still doesn't work when the field has vscroll>0 and the mouse moves below the field while down: Make a list field of height 200. Put 20 lines of size > 10 pt in it. field_before_dragging.png Drag line 7 down, hold the mouse down and ...

Re: Error with Unicode characters?

You could try

Code: Select all

put "940,941,942,943,972,973,974" into vi
put "8049,8051,8053,8055,8057,8059,8061" into nu
repeat with i=1 to 7
  replace numtocodepoint(item i of vi) with \
numtocodepoint(item i of nu) in container
end repeat
[Using "offset" with unicode text bears problems.]

Re: Here's how to drag-reorder lines in a list field

Sadly it's not that simple.
This doesn't work if the list field has more lines than the visible lines:
when the cursor leaves the field at bottom while the mouse is down this mangles the field's contents.

Re: itemDelimiter misbehaving

Hi Thierry,

if everybody would buy and use sunnYrex then it would be much easier to give solutions to such "dreams" as multiDelimiters.
And some people wouldn't be afraid of regex any more...

Re: itemDelimiter misbehaving

@Richmond. You could try the following. Use the linedelimiter instead of itemdelimiter. Then you can use the itemdelimiter for substrings of your lines. Since LC 7 delimiters can be multiple chars. To use MULTIPLE LINEDELIMITERS (each of them can be multiple chars) use the following technique. Choos...

Re: Preventing duplicate input

You could use flushEvents(). Also it would be more safe to use mouseUp and keyUp instead of mouseDown and keyDown (the system keyboard repeat is triggered by keydown). TMHO it may be much clearer to move by a button or key (e.g. 6 or Enter) to next card, then the input can be corrected before that. ...

Re: Using external script only stack as behaviour

Just as an additional remark.
If I remember right there was last year a post by Mark Waddingham who said it was never intended to use "set the behaviour" to anything else than to a button. And that this may be restricted to buttons in future versions.

The same here. Shortly (around 0.5 seconds) visible in titlebar. Win10-64bit, LC 9.5.0.
Please report as bug.
