Re: Livecode builder.

Bump, since I was in process of asking the same thing. Any resources other than the couple tutorials here and there or livecode's github? Edit: ..and the bump becomes an answer. If you go to Livecode 8's dictionary, then select guide from the tiny tab bar (API |Guide), then select "extending livecod...

Re: Popup menu alternative (Looks decent on android etc.)

It's not exactly amaze but, figured it's better than 'nothing' since google didn't find any prebaked solutions to the native solution and I'm sure someone someday will come across the same issue so might as well share :D Also updated the script a bit to ignore list-like-appearance breaking effects o...

Popup menu alternative (Looks decent on android etc.)

Needed a 'popup selector thing' for my current android project and after reminding myself of how the livecode versions looked I wrote a 'self-contained' alternative. Add the following script to an "field" control and your desired list into the params of the function call. By default the the list con...

Re: Create unlimited objects that have their own behaviors

Just a thought regarding the rectangle. When you create a new grc, it will use the templateGraphic which by default is a rectangle (afaik) and it becomes a persistent phenomena when you're creating an excessive amount of graphics and that heaviness makes your script cough blood. It will look like a ...

Re: Function, windingIntersect()

Yup, like a pro I wasn't checking if "<=", just "<" but, all good now. Fixed it in the first post and should work properly now! Thanks for pointing it out btw, probably would've stumbled across it eventually but, eventually would've arrived with a handful of complaints :) Also found out how easy img...

Thanks :)

Btw, did a quick test and the speed seems to be okayish as well at 0.019ms per iteration with a 15 point polygon.

Function, windingIntersect()

Straightforward winding number function for determining if a point is within the bounds of a regular or irregular polygon. Needed it with a radial number selector thingaling and the basic intersect (and pointIntersect from it's answers) didn't mesh too well to my problem without 'dirty' fixes. Anywa...

Re: Function, GetLineLength()

Making a "handwriting" recognition thingie atm and for that I needed the actual length of the line for magic. Yesterday when I posted it I had ideas for a huge variety of usages but, now I can't think of any other use :( Also, I hail from AHK where it's pretty common to share whatever you come up wi...

Function, GetLineLength()

Didn't see any functions for getting the length of line graphic with multiple points so figured I'd post mine here in case someone in the future world will need it. Example, answer GetLineLength("Line") Function, function GetLineLength obj put the points of grc obj into tempPoints put empty into pre...

Livecode trial, test running on Android.

I managed to get everything working dandy. Installed JDK and android sdk, setup everything with few minor hiccups but came through valiantly. As i test ran my applet for the first time I was greeted by the friendly hello that i'm running a trial, reasonable, I am in sense just checking out/leeching ...

#livecode?

I've been really missing the possibility of quickly logging on to irc and asking someone about something that cannot be justified when posted on forum. For example currently I'm trying to create a graphic and set it's size to this and this. Hardly something I'd feel good about posting here as it's s...

Re: Curving a line

What i had in mind was a magical command/function which would solve my problem (naive at best). What you shared though is exactly what I needed and need to progress with this puzzle.
That's what I tried to say with the above post but my engrish isn't that strong so.. but yea, thanks again :)

Not quite what I had in mind but, with that I will definitely be able to make what I had in mind.

Curving a line

I'm trying to first create a line/polygon with code (succeeded) and then if I hold mouse down on the line, to drag/curve the line (unsuccessful). I've been struggling with this a couple days and didn't want to post here unless i've exhausted all other options. So, is there perhaps some function in L...
