Re: Editing fields in a Datagrid Table

Pete and Trevor, I'm just getting up speed with LiveCode - and very glad to find the reference to htmltext properties in datagrids in your comment below! I'm looking for a way for a columin in a datagrid to accept htmltext. Thanks to Bernd's help with a revBrowser solution, a prototype app that I'm ...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, I'm glad to have the demo stack working so well on my Mac mini! The drag and drop into the field "fClip" is flawless. In the prototype app, I'd love to see the dropped text wind up in the first empty row of column 1 of a new datagrid. I created a group called "fClip," and tried to drag and dr...

Re: stack inside stack

Klaus, I'm also new to LiveCode - I created and saved a substack called "Quicktagger", but am finding no way to make it visible! Is there a script handler or message box command that will make it visible, ideally as a palette popup? Look forward to any way to move forward -- Best, Mark Frazier @open...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Success!!! I've installed LiveCode on my other Mac (running OSX 10.4) and the revBrowser demo stack work is working beautifully... it is amazing to see the drag and drop of text working from the browser into the card field. In order to separate the dropped text fragments, is there a way I can...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Many thanks!!!! For some reason, only my original Eval version of LiveCode studio is in my application folder! The new Livecode app that I purchased (the basic Win/Mac personal use version) is not visible when I open my App folder. Strangely, my LiveCode 4.5 app does appear in the App folder ...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Is there any way to check whether I am in fact calling the revBrowser external? I earlier downloaded the revBrowser demo stack for runRev (not Livecode). I believe it dated back to May or June. I made sure this earlier demo stack was not running when I tried your stack. Is there a way to chec...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, The script I put into a new "Export to msg" button is: global gBrowserID on mouseUp put revBrowserGet(gBrowserId, "rect") end mouseUp As you recommended, I did not press this new button right away. I awaited for about five seconds to press it after clicking on the first "initialize browser" b...

Re: Virginia/DC area LiveCoders?

Richard, It's a delight to reconnect! Are you in the LA or San Diego area? I'd love to say thanks over a lunch for the insights you generously shared in the Supercard golden age... If I'm not overdrawing on your wellsprings of generosity, can I ask you for any ideas on the Livecode/web browser issue...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd,

When I made the button as you described to export tData ("put tData into msg"), I did get the following location data for the rectangle:

50,30,526,360

I'll retry after disabling Safari extensions and post an update in a few minutes...

Best,

Mark

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, After trying with Safari and then Firefox, and pressing the buttons in sequence (waiting for five seconds between each click), I'm still finding the same result - two gray rectangles! It does show "1" as the number of initialized browsers active. Would a field to catch the script execution pr...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, I've tried a couple of times now after changing the default browser to Safari and the default page to Google.com... still no browser display in the left-hand display pane for revBrowser. Rather than turning white, that pane remains gray (as does the snapshot pane, even after clicking the "tak...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Appreciate your abiding interest and followthrough! The new stack was helpful in showing status. The browser window seems to initialize (with 1 instance of the browser in the status field) but the browser display pane is still bank. The snapshot pane also doesn't display any image. I've chang...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Another insight - I hope - into the problem ... When I check the script in the "Initialize Browser" button, there's an issue with this line: put revBrowserOpen(tWinID,"http://www.openworld.com/openworld-people/") into gBrowserId Although I don't get an error message when I press the button, i...

Re: How to export revBrowserSnapshot to file?

Bernd, Thank you for the revBrowser demo stack! On launching it (while I had the SmartProperties and revNavigator plugins running), I encountered this error -- >>stack "SmartProperties": execution error at line 110 (Chunk: no target found), char 18 executing at 9:41:53 AM Type Chunk: no target found...
