Re: Critical mass

I put "Social Media", but I think it's also critically important to: – Provide a comprehensive set of example stacks (the current selection seems a bit spotty) – Push for more coverage in traditional print media as well as online blogs – Showcase cool LC-made apps – Provide examples of how to recrea...

Re: Pixel size in iOS?

Answering my own posts - it's becoming a habit, sorry! (Also the first sign of madness...) It looks like at least part of the answer to my question lies in the fullScreenMode property, including the info in the LC dictionary. It's getting late, I'll do tests the next time I have a chance. Of course ...

Re: controlling player volume in ios.

It isn't possible to browse and select videos from within Keynote in iOS either, although that *is* possible in Keynote in Mac OS. It seems Apple doesn't see it as an important function for iOS software to use. :-/

Mm, he did. And he didn't get an anwer that looked relevant to me, although I've been mistaken more than a few times before. :)
Print card certainly doesn't do anything in iOS. Pointers on how mergPop or any other method might help would be great.

Pixel size in iOS?

I'm having fun experimenting with creating stacks for iOS, and I'm okay with resizing vector objects. But having trouble figuring out how pixel sizes work... I scaled an imported graphic in the IDE but it shows at the original size on the iPhone. I'm also a little confused as to what stack size I sh...

Re: Invalid entitlements?

Err...
Memo to self: remember to add the correct Internal App ID in the iOS section of the Standalone Application Settings window.

It works. Next, making something that actually does what I want. Which is entirely my problem.

Invalid entitlements?

I'm trying my first 'LC to iOS' test. *Very* basic hello world stuff, just a button and a field. The problem is that getting the provisioning profiles and related stuff sorted out is... 'interesting'. (Thanks a bunch, Apple!) I have a profile and certificate that seem correct; they check out, at lea...

Re: Forum search keyword restrictions?

10k? Yikes! :D I actually wanted to search using two keywords, not just "window". Good to be prompted about the wildcard option, thanks, and I should have remembered the Google site search trick, doh! However, I really do think this forum should be set up to allow searches for words that would logic...

@Richard, @Craig, @Bernd, thanks very much for the responses! This looks logical and useful, I'll give it a whirl as soon as I'm done with teaching today.

Dragging windows with windowShape?

I'm having lots of fun with windowShape – reminds me of the old RadWindow trick from back in the day. But I'm stumped over the (I hope) simple task of dragging the window. How do I script the process of the user dragging the window around when it's in a custom windowShape and has no title bar? (I've...

Forum search keyword restrictions?

It seems a little odd that I can't search for "window" in this forum. Could someone possibly take a look at the list of 'do not search' words and remove ones that are likely to be relevant to searches here? (I was looking for discussions on different ways to drag windows, specifically not by the reg...

Re: Making an app invisible?

Ah. Um. It's rather embarrassing to have to admit it, but I had screwed up editing the .plist file. I'd put the new data between a key and its associated string, which broke it, making the app never finish launching. It turns out that both those .plist additions work, although it's worth noti...

Re: Is Send to Program still working?

Wow, thanks Craig! I mourn slightly for the loss of the old inter-application communication method, but this does look pretty exciting. Thanks very much for the links, they looks very useful!

Hmm. Thanks! So that entry in the Dictionary should be marked as no longer supported. :-/

Anyone have tips on getting up to speed with sockets?

Is Send to Program still working?

I've been tinkering with the 'send to program' command, but I'm getting precisely nowhere when I try to do this across a network. I know the odds are that I'm getting something wrong, but I'm starting to wonder if it's possible at all. In the Dictionary's details for this command it talks about Appl...
