Re: Pre-load RevBrowserCef to shorten launch time

Hi Steve, Sounds like you are hitting a CD medium performance limitation as 70 seconds is a very long time for your application to launch. One thing you may be able to try, is creating zipping up your application and then using a "Launcher" stack to extract the app locally and then launch the app wi...

Re: Testing My LiveCode Application

You may need to contact oracle with assistance with any errors associated with the installation of the Java JDK http://www.oracle.com/us/support/index.html I would also recommend downloading an older revision of the JDK (e.g. JDK 7.**) as this may allow installation on your system Kind Regards, Neil...

Re: Testing My LiveCode Application

Hi Shikha,

At what point are you up to with the Android setup?

e.g. Have you manage to install the JDK/Android SDK?
Is the Android SDK linked within LiveCodes preferences?

Kind Regards,

Neil Roger

Re: Advertising on Android

Hi Kim, Using Adsense in the way you have mentioned violates Googles Adsense policies and would likely result in your app being removed from stores/ having your Adsense account suspended. More information on this can be found here- https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/68724?hl=en-GB The use of ...

Re: Taking a photo without native controls

Hi Paul, Our educational licence might be of interest- https://livecode.com/products/livecode-platform/livecode-in-education/ This will give you a single commercial licence that you could use to build your students standalones. This would give them the chance to try out out new camera syntax. Kind R...

Re: Taking a photo without native controls

Hi all, The new camera controls are commercial only so if you are using the community version of LiveCode they will not work. If you are using a commercial version (indy etc), what scripts are you using to start up the camera? Do you have a sample stack I could test with Kind Regards, Neil Roger -- ...

Re: HTML5 Video Player

Hi Steve, I don't think this is possible via the potential security concerns of local file access via a web browser. It is possible to play local videos but a user would have to physically select them via a file picker. More information on this here- http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8885701/play-l...

Re: Test button returns an error message

One thing you might want to try is removing all simulators from your Xcode installation and adding them again. Open Xcode and navigate to "Window---->Devices". You should see something like the following (Im using Xcode 7.2) Screen Shot 2016-02-17 at 15.23.04.png What you will want to do, is delete ...

Re: Test button returns an error message

Hi Sean,

I would try upgrading to LC 7.1.2 (RC2) and Xcode 7.2 to see if this resolves the issue for you. Let us know how you get on.

Kind Regards,

Re: Taking a photo without native controls

Hi Klaus, The documentation issues on the new Camera functionality are in our QC database and are waiting to be addressed. I agree that this is a great new addition to the LC platform and its a shame to see it not getting the love that it deserves :) The syntax is the same across desktop/mobile (min...

Re: Alarms do not appear in list

Hi Louis, At the moment I can only see the loadAlarms command being executed when the stack is initially opened. This means that any new alarms that are added, will not show unless the stack is opened again. When you save an alarm via saveAlarms you are replacing the contents of the whole alarm file...

Re: Put text into fld at a website

Tabs are not supported neither are browser addons so that is one element you would have to create manually (e.g. multiple browser instances for tabs) In regards to the browser instance, what version of LiveCode are you using? It could be that the required inclusions are not being automatically set. ...
