Re: Stopping an object script containing wait

Cool. Adding "exit to top" worked great. I also added "with messages" to my wait code.

Can you explain again why the send command is better than the wait command? Thanks

Stopping an object script containing wait

I have an object script that uses wait 1 seconds - to turn on and off various fields and buttons - (to create a presentation). If someone clicks a cancel button (which does NOT send someone to another card) - the script continues to run. Is there anything that I can put in the cancel button script t...

option dropdown and mobile devices

I was ALMOST so excited. I discovered the dropdown button! I almost love it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on a mobile device. Which makes it rather useless. Am I missing something? I looked around on the Internet and couldn't find any reference to the fact that they don't work - or do work on mobi...

Re: Buttons with unwanted box

OK. I don't know why but this is fixing my problem: Somehow it is the location of the button that triggers this problem. If I move the button a little bit down, it doesn't create the extra boxes. So, I changed the code from set the top of button "local_help_button2" to the bottom of button "contacts...

Re: Buttons with unwanted box

I just set the background color to pink

set the backgroundcolor of button "local_help_button2" to "pink"

and it now has two lovely light purple boxes in a pink button (on Android only).

Buttons with unwanted box

I have weird problem going on with my buttons on Android. My buttons are basic text with a background and a dropshadow. They are fine in Windows and on IOS. But when I put them on an Android - IF the button text isn't wide....it creates a box with a different color - sometimes on one side - sometime...

Re: Gnome dancing victory dance - datagrids and url

VICTORY! The gnome is conquered. Two issues were going on here. First, my stupidity. When I did the test stack, there are TWO places in the standalone settings that you have to check for internet access - on the main settings AND in the Android settings. So that's why it wasn't connecting to the Int...

Re: Gnome dancing victory dance - datagrids and url

that's what I just did. Nothing except on mouseUp answer "start" put "http://www.toolsforbusiness.info/disaster/test.html" into turl answer turl put url(turl) into twhat answer twhat end mouseUp on a button. That's it.... Doesn't work on my Android. put url(turl) into twhat simply doesn't work.

Re: Gnome dancing victory dance - datagrids and url

Here's the simplest way I can show the problem on mouseUp answer "start" put "http://www.toolsforbusiness.info/disaster/test.html" into turl answer turl put url(turl) into twhat answer twhat end mouseUp Test.html should come up with the word "here". Nothing else is in the file except the word "here"...

Re: Gnome dancing victory dance - datagrids and url

No - I never even get to the datagrid.... my current problem is that the url(turl) call won't work on an Android (that is what is supposed to load the datagrid - but it comes in empty). It works on IOS and on my laptop. But when I put it on my Android (Ice cream sandwich operating system) - it won't...
