Re: Help with variables

Assuming that these scripts are in two different buttons, and that they are posted exactly as they are written, then you have not declared your variable global in the second script. A global variable must be declared in every script that will access it.

Da_Elf wrote:how do you "include" it? ive been looking for a walkthrough but cant even find much info anywhere on the site
In standalone settings, I believe on the first page, there is a radio button to check to enable the inclusion then a checkbox to include it.

Re: Extract numbers before and after decimal separator

Code: Select all

put fld "1" into tNum --You should not name fields with only a number, it can cause errors
set the itemDelimiter to "."
put item 1 of tNum into containerForWholeNumber
put item 2 of tNum into containerForDecimalNumber

Re: rotating an image at the center point of the stack

Problem solved. It turns out that my script does work the way I expected. The problem comes in from starting with a zoomed in image. Since images with an angle of other than 0 can't change dimensions it was resizing to it's original state and so the offset numbers no longer matched

Re: A bigger eraser or a work around

in my original stack, I imported an image as a control. The ID of the image is 1165. When I use the following code, the stack and LC shuts completely down instantly. It sounds like at worse the image object alone may be corrupted, but the stack is fine. What happens if you delete the image and repl...

Re: rotating an image at the center point of the stack

look at screenLoc ... screenLoc does not seem to work well when using a dual monitor setup. This app requires two monitors with a control stack on the main screen and a display stack on a remote screen in full screen mode. That is why I used .. put (the width of this stack/2) into tHCen put (the he...

rotating an image at the center point of the stack

Apparently my brain is to twisted by this problem to create a mathematical solution as I have now spent close to 4 hours coding and recoding. I have a referenced image in a stack that is larger than the stack. It can be dragged around as needed to view any part of the image. I want to rotate the ima...

Re: A bigger eraser or a work around

If you can open the stack at all it's probably not corrupt. What problems are you seeing? in my original stack, I imported an image as a control. The ID of the image is 1165. When I use the following code, the stack and LC shuts completely down instantly. set the eraser to 1165 In a new stack the s...

Re: A bigger eraser or a work around

Hi. On a Mac, I find no issue with very large erasers, set say, from a large img imported as a control and the eraser property set to that ID. Must be a Windows thing. But your thought of being able to: remove paint from rect "yourRect" or remove paint from the extent of control "yourControl" Where...

A bigger eraser or a work around

The maximum size of the eraser tool is 32x32 pixels. I assume this is because of cursor size limitations in windows. When I try to apply a larger image (128x128) LC shuts down. Is there a workaround? It seems to me that the paint tool itself had to be coded, so there must be a way to say "remove the...

Re: Message To Field When Content Changes

One of the great things about LC is that messages that are sent by the engine can also be sent with script. So, for example, if you have a mouseUp handler in a button, you can use "send mouseUp to btn "myButton" to send that message from a handler. The same can be done for "exitField", "focusOut", e...
