Re: Goodbye Filemaker. I will (sort of) miss you

..So three years later: I have to say I have rarely miss Filemaker. Although Filemaker does have any easy interface to work with, and some of the advanced database designing tools were quite nice, but the high cost of maintenance and software that only runs on Mac or Windows were cost-prohibitive fo...

Re: Unable to install LC 9 on Ubuntu 18.04

It has been my experience that at the end of installing LC, it asks if I want to launch it, it just quits. But then going and launching Livecode on my own after that works fine.

Re: Can't install livecode server on xampp

I have not ever tried on a mac, but on a typical apache web-server you also have to install a few extra modules like:

sudo a2enmod cgi
sudo a2enmod alias
sudo a2enmod actions

Re: Ways to set and use tables relationship with online DB

As for the rest, scripts that relates one table to the other its all made manualy or is that a feature of the bench too ? MySQL Workbench is simply a GUI tool for working with MySQL databases and the features that are built in to MySQL. Although you can just create your own relationships through yo...

Re: Ways to set and use tables relationship with online DB

Personally I like to use MySQL Workbench. It has a nice graph tool that lets you drag our your relationships, manage foreign keys, etc.

Once you are done you can connect to your server via SSH or direct DB connection and apply your model to your database.

sha1...I think...

what is your goal? Are you just trying to come up with an encrypted identifier? Are you using this to send?

Re: Anyone has examples of UUID Sha1 creation process ?

Other more knowledgeable Livecoders will have to speak up to confirm this, but if you are looking for something where you can create the same results on demand given some input, then UUID might be counter-intuitive to that, since it creates a unique ID each time. You could just write your own little...

Re: Distribute PHP EchoS towards separate fields - How ?

You could do it either way. If you want it on separate lines you could do something like: <?php echo $date1.","; echo $date2; ?> then with LC just do the same thing as my other reply. Adding the comma will give LC something to use as a delimiter. There is probably another way, as usual with coding, ...

Re: Distribute PHP EchoS towards separate fields - How ?

your could simplify your php to just this <?php echo $date1.",".$date2; ?> and then in your LC App do something like: put it into toParse repeat with i = 1 to the number of lines of toParse put item 1 of toParse into field "start date" put item 2 of toParse into field "end date" end repeat

Re: Any tool to capture URL content sent ?

at the site, create a "Request Bin"

that gives you a unique url to use

replace your url of your server for that in your LC app

send

go to that link and refresh page...you can do it a bunch of times. It stores your requests for 24 hours

Re: Any tool to capture URL content sent ?

Looks like their website is down..I was just using it last night and it helped me debug some header data that was being sent from a remote device.

their Twitter account confirms issue...should be back up shortly.

Re: LC Encrypting with Aes-256-cbc supported ?

For my usage, I would decrypt and everything on the server before putting it into the database, so I am not sure but I do not see why not. on the server, with Livecode Server: //decode aes encoded data function aesDecode tString put base64Decode(tString) into tString decrypt tString using "aes256" w...

Re: LC Encrypting with Aes-256-cbc supported ?

I had something like this that worked for me. I would first create a gPW and gSalt through some other functions that would create randomized strings, then: #encode with aes function aesEncode tString encrypt tString using "aes256" with gPW and salt gSalt put it into tString put base64Encode(tString)...
