Re: percentage validation

Hi Simon & Magice, I've tried that and indeed it passes through the number into the field. The thing is it bypasses the 100 limit after the first time it fails the validation limit, I'm assuming tKey is just validating against each number I type in rather than the entire contents of the field. Magic...

Hi Guys, I've got the following code below, but its not quite working how it should as it triggers immediately once I have types in a number. I'm trying to to put some validation in one of my fields where the minimum value can be 1 and the maximum value can be 100, ideally percentage values with 1 d...

Re: scrollbar help

Hi Simon, Thanks for the reply and the code, I've got the vscrollbar on groups to work now. Adding your code to the scroll bar and noticed in the message box the thumb position its returning. Its interesting to note regardless of the size of the scrollbar, the max position is always 57343. Im guessi...

scrollbar help

Hi Guys, Ive enclosed a stack which has 3 objects in it. There are two objects on display, if you click a button, a third object appears where the second object was and moves the second object further down the card. Infact it moves it down the card significantly (and off my 13" screen), so I need a ...

Re: Tabstops in the option menu object

 Sparkout, corrected now-must of been reading another response from you on another thread whilst responding to this.

Dave, thank you for your modified stack, I'll dissect it and learn from it. Think this will solve the problem I have.

Best wishes

Re: Tabstops in the option menu object

Hi Dave, Thank you very much for your example. I'll try and workout how to implement it in my menu example. Simon I didn't know you could right align things in a menu, that might be the easier thing. I've attached a file of how my menus are generated just so you can see what Im trying to do. Thanks ...

Re: Tabstops in the option menu object

Hi Dave, I'll attach a screenshot. I'd like the third column aligned in my option menu. I've looked at the option menu property and tabstops does not exist so I'm assuming there is no way of aligning 3 columns "easily" - thought I would ask though. If you or anyone else knows a way to do this, would...

Tabstops in the option menu object

Hi Guys, I have a pop up menu(option) and it populates values using database records. The menu is built with 3 fields, the length of the second field varies massively from 10 characters to 30 characters and I would like all columns to be tabbed equally. I know i can use tabstops to align tabbed data...

Re: Encrypted stack in LiveCode Community Edition

Hi Klaus,

Just wanted to thank you for your assistance again. Realised I had a license for LC 5.5 which doesn't work on a subscription basis, so used this to delete the encrypted stack.

It seems to all work fine in the community edition now :)

Cheers

Encrypted stack in LiveCode Community Edition

Hi Guys, Not sure anyone can help, but I bought a commercial license last year to develop an app. The license as lapsed and instead of renewing as I didn't make that much progress with my app, I've decided to use the community edition until I am ready to publish and distribute. The only problem is I...

numberformat in a sql result

Hi Guys, I've got a sql query which populates an array with data. There are certain fields that I want to display as a currency format "0.00" - would be great to include a currency sign, but thats not necessary I just need to have 2 decimal places. Through the dictionary I have found number format c...

storing currency data in sqlite

Hi all, I want to store currency in my sqlite database and I've been doing some reading on various sql forums to find the 'correct' way of storing these. Most suggest that currency in sqlite for various reasons (sorting etc) should be stored as integers as sqlite does not contain a "currency" format...
