Re: Load a Standalone onto an iPhone

I have a QR in with LC regarding old provisioning profiles gumming up the works. First, check to make sure that combo of XC and LC are ok with each other (check the release notes for LC on which XC version you should be using). Here's a pretty good procedure to follow next for testing: https://stack...

Re: Gmail warning about forum digest

Yes, I get similar messages from Gmail regarding various forums and newsgroups. Even though I have been on this and other forums and newsgroups for years, sometimes the messages even wind up getting quarantined.

Re: Load a Standalone onto an iPhone

Use Xcode, then hit shift-command 2 to bring up the device list. Hit the plus and add the app.

Re: mergGoogle for Android? (or how to upload to Google Spreadsheets)

Hey, Simon. A couple of ideas: 1) MergGoogle runs on both iOS and MacOS, so the really long/steampunk way about fixing this would be to have your android write the data to somewhere, e.g. Dropbox (just because we have a LC library, so that part is easy), and then have a daemon running on a Mac to up...

I haven't tried with 9. I was doing everything in 8.1.9, I think.

Re: ICON stopped showing up on an iOS stack

I had this happen on iOS recently too, but only for certain icons, and I'm unclear as to why. On one of the apps, out of desperation I grabbed the app icon from a couple of major revisions ago, and it shows up fine, but the one that had been working for a couple of years doesn't.

Re: pushnotification - keeping the mobile id database "clean"

Howdy, Mark. Now that you have that working, please bug LC about extending push support. There are a couple of bug reports open on that topic, including supporting silent push (still waiting...) To your question, there is good news: If someone opts out of notifications in the control panel on their ...

SQL dates are one of many routines (not just about dates, either) included in "Master Library".

Re: PushNotification

Push isn't always easy to get started, so Let's start with * You're building for iOS, right? * Are you testing on the simulator or a physical device? (Simulator won't work) * How did you obtain the push ID to use to send the message? * Are you sure this is the first time you have tried to install th...

There's a chapter in the LiveCode Manual, and if you attend LiveCode Global, there just might be a session in May on it.

Re: Session Suggestions for LiveCode Global

I just did one for LCG, and it took me 10 hours to complete 1 hour. Maybe the next one will be faster. I think videos are more compelling and so they will be used more.
