Re: Livecode crashes with copy command

Since this code is in a button, the way I understand this copy character 1 to -1 of field "Field" of me is that the code is trying to say that there is a field that is owned or controlled by a button. That is impossible therefore an error or crash results because it does not make sense. The "of me" ...

Thanks Andy.

I'm using tinyIDE as well, so you are well represented in my development workspace.

Thanks for the hard work.

Re: Old app Now Broke in Catalina

I have a laptop with Catalina and an iMac that I am holding off on upgrading. On the laptop, so far at least, I have been able to run all of the LiveCode programs I have been playing with by right clicking on the program and choosing Open from the menu. This takes me to the security area where I can...

Re: FlowReminder: my new calendar tool standalone

Hello Trevix I too was interested when this discussion came back to life. I was an Architect and discussing scheduling with a client at the beginning of a project was always difficult since there are many steps involving client approvals, municipal approvals, pricing and contract tendering. Most of ...

Re: Saving as HTML5 Standalone issues?

Many browsers allow you to enable a developer mode that gives you extra options or controls. On Safari, a new Develop menu appears next to Bookmarks and one of the options there is Empty Caches with it's own shortcut hotkey. This would streamline your workflow a lot I think :P

Re: BBEdit 12.5 Language module for LC

:D Oh you’re a tease! Sounds great. Maybe I could beta test something for you? 8-)

Hope you get so much interesting work that you just have to take a break and tidy up this for release! My wish st least.

Cheers

Re: Missing App Icon in MacOS build - SOLVED

Found a solution to my own problem, but not sure exactly which piece was key... The externally built ICNS files from IconFactory did NOT work. What did work was: 1. Using another icon utility to create a folder with the 10 icon sizes as PNG files from my master graphic. 2. Renaming the folder contai...

I'll bookmark that. I don't use it more than twice a year though - hence the re-learning curve!

Edit - it's in my toolbar now.

Yes. I need training wheels whenever I have to work with Regex. I use it so rarely that it is like learning it again every time!

I'm impressed by 13 - I didn't think they could improve much more but... wow! I like!

Re: BBEdit 12.5 Language module for LC

hi Thierry

Did BBEdit 13 break things or make it better for you? Will there be a general release planned for (sooner rather than later) the masses at some point?

Have loved and used BBEdit for more than 15 years so would love to use it rather than the SE!

Thanks

Re: Missing App Icon in MacOS build

Yes, it did open in preview and I saw 10 icons there of various sizes. Opening another random app, their ICNS only had 5, but appeared to be about the same, so the visual check of the file looks OK. I also checked the info.plist and that appeared to have the right icon file listed. Is there another,...

Re: Missing App Icon in MacOS build

Thanks Jacque. I suspect you may be right, because I could not get the command line utility to create my ICNS file in the terminal. I got errors without explanations just indicating that it could not be built. Then I went to the App Store utility which seemed to make an appropriate file, but... Any ...
